9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
Each 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but also symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others.
This year, the stair climb will be held at Covenant Health Park. You will need to find a ride to this event and be there no later than 830.
Wreaths Across America
This opportunity allows you to raise money for both Wreaths Across America and for your cadet bank.
NJROTC Parent night
This event is open to parents and cadets whether they are old, new, or even just wondering about the program.
Freshman Orientation
This will be an opportunity for incoming freshman who are interested in the program to learn about the uniform, program opportunities, as well as marching and facing movements.
Leadership Orientation
This will be an event held at UCHS. It will be for 5-10 selected cadets to build leadership skills and team building.
End of the Year Banquet
End of the Year banquet is an annual event where we get to celebrate the cadets and award them with everything from advancements and local awards to National Awards from groups like the American Legion, AMVETS and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Field Meet
Tri-county field meet where the cadets will compete in multiple events displaying athleticism, teamwork, and communication skills.
Nashville Trip
Our trip to Nashville will have us leaving from the school around 830 the morning of the 3rd. We will be taking two 15 passenger vans driven by myself and Master Guns. Upon arriving to Nashville we will stop to eat lunch. After lunch we will be headed to Vanderbilt University to talk to the NROTC recruiter there as well as a tour of the campus. After our tour we will be headed to dinner and some team building exercises and then back to the hotel to end the night. Friday morning we will be waking up having breakfast at the hotel and then off to the Capital to take a tour starting at 10. After which, we will be eating lunch and headed home. Our goal is to be back at the school in time for students to catch the bus.
Students will be required to make up all work they miss. They will also be required to be passing all classes with at least a “C” average.
